Gregory University, Uturu (GUU) School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) was established in 2018 to advance the university’s vision of providing quality academic and research programmes as well as its professional, practical and entrepreneurial capacity development. To this end, the mission of Gregory University, Uturu is to produce God fearing, ethically sound, highly skilled global leaders who shall be catalysts for technological and socio-economic advancement of themselves and their environments.
This, therefore, suggests that the core values of the University which it seeks to achieve are excellence, integrity, professionalism, entrepreneurial capacity, global leadership and technological advancement.
All these are contained in the three domains of educations - cognitive, psychomotor and affective. They make individuals become functional citizens and be able to withstand the test of the time.
In higher education and particularly, Universities, the knowledge and the habits of thoughts acquired by students are embodied in the particular academic disciplines that informed the curriculum. In view of the above, Gregory University, Uturu Postgraduate School, through its relevant and adequate curriculum Contents produces scholars with disciplined minds who will live lives of leadership, service with history, global awareness, equipped with relevant ICT, knowledge and skills and competencies to function as academic researchers and other broader responsibilities in a rapidly changing global society.
The Postgraduate programmes are open to people from all works of life and all races. This is why lecturers from different ethnic groups are employed to teach in the different programmes so that graduates would be able to integrate in any system they find themselves and contribute meaningfully to the development of the education system and the nation at large.
The programmes at this level will include: course work, seminars, and field trip as the case may be for some of the courses.
